Dry July

This is just a little diary, so to say, about how our alcohol-free months are going.
Don't worry, my drinking wasn't bad, I don't drink any more than I do at home. But I usually have at least one unit per night and now I won't have anything, so I hope that does make a difference. In this month I also really want to get my running started - hopefully it works! You'll hear all about it on this page :-)

July 1.
Day 1, and I'm good. Woke up with a slight hangover because we went out with a bang yesterday night, but the bad feeling soon went away and now I'm feeling fine!

July 6.
Day 6. I have been doing a short run every other day now, and I feel good. The lack of alcohol isn't too much of a problem, although I do miss my glass of red when eating a nice pasta. But hey, I can live without it, and I'm sure it's doing my body some good combined with the running. A glass of Apple Ale isn't too bad either ...

July 15.
Day 15, and almost halfway. The running has come to a halt since I started snowboarding because of some foot problems. The lack of alcohol certainly keeps us fit, but we do start to realize how alcohol really is a social thing and it is NOT funny to sit in a bar and just order orange juice. But like I said; halfway ...

July 17.
Day 17. Over halfway, yaaay! Snowboarding goes well, baby steps at a time, but definitely some progress.

July 28.
Day 28, 4 more to go. Sigh. Being a snow bum with no means to drink, now that is just saaad ...
